William C. DeSilva, Jr. FCPA, FCMA – President & CEO

William is the President & CEO of Even Par Limited, a position he has held since its formation. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Bermuda (FCPA), and a Fellow of the Society of Management Accountants of Canada (FCMA). He attained his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Saint Francis Xavier University where he was the Senior Class President in 1983, and has successfully completed Executive Education at Harvard Business School (Leadership Best Practices), Executive Education at Harvard Law School (Negotiations for Senior Executives), and the Utilities Executive Program at the University of Idaho.
Prior to launching Even Par, he was the Executive Vice President of the Ascendant Group (2009 – 2010) where he had responsibility for Executive oversight of subsidiaries, and diversification into non-correlated industries. He served as Senior Vice-President – Administration of Bermuda Electric Light Company Limited (2007 - 2009), where he provided leadership to the functional areas of Information Technology, Human Resources, Facilities, Risk Management, Process, and Health & Safety. He commenced his career with Ascendant as the Senior Vice-President of Bermuda Gas & Utility (2001 – 2006) where he held overall responsibility for setting the strategic direction and leading the day-to-day operations of the organization. During his tenure he transformed the Company into a highly developed, motivated, and customer focused organization.

In addition to his nine years in the Energy industry, he has held Executive positions during the course of his career in the Investment and Financial services industry, the Telecommunications industry, and the International transportation industry.
He is a former President of the Bermuda Employers Council (2005 – 2007), having served on its Board and Executive from 2002 – 2010.
He is also a former Director of CPA Bermuda, and is a former Board member of CMA Nova Scotia (2001 – 2004; 2012 – 2014). William is also a past Chairman of the Board of Governors of Mount Saint Agnes Academy; and a graduate of the Class of 1979.
